Not a bad month considering all of the time we spent at marinas and the cost for the engine work at Deaton’s.  We splurged on a week at Lady’s Island Marina in Beaufort, SC which was a mini-vacation given how much we enjoy Beaufort, but then later in the month we found ourselves paying for four nights at the St. James Marina just south of Southport, NC due to weather.  That’s the way it goes sometimes.  No regrets though – it was money well spent.

As far as traveling is concerned, June saw us move from Beaufort, SC to crossing the Virginia state line in the Dismal Swamp Canal.

Nautical miles covered: 465.94

Nights on a dock: 17 (7 in Beaufort, SC; 4 in Southport, NC; 4 in Oriental – 2 free, and 2 reduced price; 2 on the Dismal Swamp – free)

Nights at anchor: 13

Groceries/Non-food Groceries/Alcohol: $586.82

Gasoline/Diesel: $120.50

Denatured Alcohol: $79.28 (This was a mistake.  We accidentally bought two extra gallons, not realizing we were fully stocked.  We won’t need to buy any again for quite some time.)

Medical: $14.34

Cell data, iCloud storage, and Garmin inReach subscription: $112.34

Mail Service: $100 (placed on account at UPS Store for future shipping)

Marina: $457.77 (7 nights in Beaufort, SC, 4 nights in Southport, NC)

Laundry: $6.50

Restaurants/Entertainment: $167.83

Professional Boat maintenance: $413.55

Subscriptions and Random Items: $352.10 (Netflix, Amazon Prime, New York Times, marina tips, gloves, citrus rags, box o’ rags, replacement signal horn, Waterway Guide, etc.).

Total: $2,411.03
