Now that I’ve given you this ear worm courtesy of Todd Rundgren, let’s get down to business.
It’s been a VERY long blog break while we have been in Beaufort, SC building up the cruising kitty and seeing if it’s our forever place. More on that later. In the meantime, I’m ready to get blogging again, and I’d like to start by filling in the gaps from last year’s trip south. I’m glad people enjoy reading the blog, but I started this way back when as a visual diary, so to speak, for Jeff and me. We get a lot of pleasure looking at old blog posts and seeing how far we’ve come, and I’ve blogged our entire journey except for last fall before our engine failed.
So if you don’t find old adventures interesting, check back again in a few weeks. There are definitely more adventures on the Pegu Club to come.
So happy to hear you are resuming your journal so we can keep in touch with your “adventures”.

Is updating the Garmin map easy or a chore?
I am planning a trip south (from Canada) and it would be really nice if there was a link between your posts and the Garmin trip map.
That’s mostly for my benefit because as I research the path south it would be nice to have your written posts for each location 😉
If the Garmin updates are easy, then I don’t want to give you more work.
If they are difficult, then I would try to find a WordPress plugin to do both at the same time 😉
Plan B would be to create a copy of your Garmin map with links to the related blog posts (with your permission).

Hmm. That’s a nice idea. I don’t think I can really update the Garmin map at this point, but let me see if there’s some sort of a plugin or other app that I could use to link them. In the meantime, I do tag the posts and I believe I have them tagged by state, so that would help to narrow them down as you plan your trip. Don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help at all while you plan. It’s a lot of information, but it’s also part of the fun! 🙂 Kimberly
